did you know?

i want to compile 'did you know' series just so one day, whenever we want to kill time, i can throw my did-you-know questions to my other-kill-time-buddies.
i think my best kill time moment when we were waiting for our food and my hp that time has a list of country and their main city. we played what is main city of that particular country. hehe. great time at Chilli's :)

reading map is my forte, NOT!
so lets:
1. New Zealand has only one main highway connecting to main cities. you wont get lost to their main city. While prepping for my itinerary- travelling time and time limit, i was concern about getting lost because i have only 6days :( but hey, look at us, we reached places in time and without so much of a map hassle.
2. Upon reaching to any small towns, they will let you know the speed limit you should adhere. say 30km/hr. but in my case, i strictly followed all the rules (knowing my ability to rempit all i can). I was smiling all the way back to Kampung last month because the speed limit says 80km/hr but i speedo 140km/hr. how can i not be so nice to my own country? hmmm.
3. their one way bridge. hmmm. lets just say i had never encountered 2-way bridge. very unmodern and conventional yes? i tuduh due to their geographical landscape- earthquake and icemeltdown, very nasty nature at times so it wasnt very convenient to build very the fancy bridges, yes?
the rule of the thumb driving on a one-way bridge is, give your right lane the courtesy of going through first.
the definition of right lane to both party lane? you do the math :p
4. you can use your origin country driving license, so long as you have one to drive around NZ.
5. good thing about renting a car in NZ, we rented at point A, we sendoff to point B somewhere else far than point A. you dont need to go right back at point A to sendoff thankyouverymuch.
6. kalu ada pape i tambah lagi oteys? wait aaa :)
